  9.      This archive contains three items I have made :
  10.  
  11.      1) This letter.
  12.  
  13.      2) A  PICT file (using system palette) of the NeXT Recycler Icon. (The new
  14.          NeXT system software icon for the equivalent of the Macintosh "Trash")
  15.  
  16.      3) icl8 resources for puttting into Sundesk or other icl8 displaying
  17.           applications.   When installed properly,  your trash can will be the
  18.           NeXT "Recycler" icon.
  19.  
  20.          NOTE : The Recycler icon in the PICT file is 64 pixels x 64 pixels.
  21.                     The Macintosh icl8's are only 32 x 32.   The PICT file
  22.                     contains the ACTUAL NeXT Recycler Icon,  and the
  23.                     icl8's contain shrunk versions of the PICT.   (It should be noted
  24.                     that the NeXT MegaPixel Displays are 92 pixels-per-inch, while
  25.                     most Macintosh monitors are 72 pixels-per-inch.)

  27.                     Also, the standard ICN# masks for the trash bucket icon
  28.                                         have intentionally been left alone.  
  29.     
  30. P.S. : If anyone knows how to "patch" (via an 'init', 'cdev', or any other types of
  31.          Macintosh code) the finder so that one may display any size 256 color
  32.          graphic in place of the trash (preferably the 64 x 64 pixel Recycler
  33.          Icon), PLEASE let me know.
